1st Page Of Google In Less Than 14 Days?

Here is a test I recently launched on my Carrot site that helped me rank content on the first page of Google. You can copy this strategy.

Hey šŸ‘‹,

Blog post ranked in 7 days at remains at the number 3 spot

Iā€™ve been working with AI (a lot). I know you are probably tired of hearing about the AI hype and not seeing results - so letā€™s change that. I have a simple test that I am going to blow the doors open on. Literally anyone can steal this strategy and try it on their own motivated seller siteā€¦

Hypothesis: If we train an AI prompt to write high quality content, then it will rank on Google and save us time/money.

Google claims it doesnā€™t penalize AI content as long as itā€™s quality.

The trick becomes the AI prompt that produces high quality content. I will give you a prompt Iā€™ve used and show you the blog post and Google rankings that came from it.

As a heads up - the content I chose goes after long-tail keyword phrases so there isn't a ton of traffic but the strategy works and you can modify it to keywords you want to try and rank.

The 2 Part AI Prompt

Through my research, I have learned that AI works well when you give it a framing prompt and THEN the action based prompt. Framing gives the AI context, and asks for clarity on understand. Once that is complete - you can ask the AI to generate content and it is usually higher quality

Framing Prompt

Act as a professional copywriter who knows SEO. In a minute I am going to ask you to write a blog post. The purpose of this blog post is to target a long-tail keyword. There will be several blog posts that will all link to a landing page that gives a reader the ability to opt-in if they are facing a difficult time selling their home. This website is for a real estate investor who helps distressed property sellers sell their home off-market without a realtor. Typically the sellers are open to offers that are below fair market value so the real estate investor can either buy it for cash or wholesale it to another investor. Are you clear on the purpose of this work?

Action Prompt: Blog Post

Before we start, I would like for each blog post to be 1,000 words, include a table of contents and link out to any 3rd party links that are trustworthy. Ensure the copy is not detected as AI written. Use a casual and empathetic tone when writing. Finally make sure to include the keyword I give you and variations of it so Google has full context for what the blog post is about. Now write a blog post about "The advantages of selling to investors when faced with tenant issues.ā€ and make that the target keyword.

Example of this in Open AIā€™s ChatGPT.

Blog Post Example

If you are curious what the blog post content will look like you can see a working example on my test Carrot website here ā†’ https://www.offerpear.com/cash-offers-for-houses-with-tax-issues/

How To Maximize These Blog Posts

If you want the most bang for your buck with creating these AI generated blog posts you can amplify the output byā€¦

  1. Focusing on editing the blog post for flow (bullet points, images, etc).

  2. Add a YouTube video that further explains the topic (this doesnā€™t have to be your YouTube video but the first result when searching YouTube for the keyword).

  3. Link to other pages or blog posts that are relevant on your website.

How To Pick The Right Keywords

If you arenā€™t sure which keywords or topics you should be using AI to write - there are a couple options.

I would recommend using Carrotā€™s SEO tools to start and if that doesnā€™t help - ask ChatGPT for some help.

Option #1 - Carrotā€™s SEO Tools

Carrot has a feature called the Keyword Explorer. You can use it 1 of 2 ways. You can plug in your domain name and it will tell you keywords you are ranking for. Any keyword that is less than 20 likely needs new or more content to help it rank. So you can cherry pick off that list.

The other way to use it is to type in a keyword you want to rank for and it will give you helpful ideas for related keywords and how difficult it is to rank them.

Option #2 - Ask ChatGPT

If youā€™ve been around SEO for a while - you have probably heard the term ā€œtopic clusterā€. ā† this is the best blog post I know of to explain the topic.

This content marketing strategy is more complicated and involved but certainly does work and I would say that the most successful Carrot websites (whether they know it or not) are using this strategy to some degree.

Essentially, we can ask ChatGPT for related keywords in a keyword cluster and then write blog posts for each topic and create a landing page as the pillar page and have all of the pages linked together.

Carrot actually has a feature called Niche Authority Builder that does this for you. Itā€™s in the Content Tools Add-on. You can read more about it here.

Act as an SEO expert, I need you to help me execute a keyword cluster for my website. Can you ask me questions you need to know to help me create the keyword cluster?

Answer those questions and it should help you cut the time to build a keyword cluster by HOURS.

The final result will look something like thisā€¦

Once you have your keywords you can go back to the top of this issue and use the AI prompt to help you create blog posts.

Final Note

Nothing is guaranteed with SEO. The more competitive the keyword the harder it will be to rank with content alone (likely need backlinks). This strategy works for long-tail keywords with less competition and less traffic.

Why this matters.

You can still build the credibility of your website in Googleā€™s eyes if you have quality content that answers a leadā€™s search query (what Googleā€™s entire business model is based on).

Imagine a website that has 100+ blog posts all strategically created and linked to 10+ landing pages that are designed to capture leads. The keyword cluster gives Google a really clear idea of the content on the website, who itā€™s for, how it can help them and demonstrates expertise in a local market.

After writing 25+ AI generated blog posts only a handful are currently ranking after 1 month

Thatā€™s it. These are early results and the test might change but so far itā€™s cool to see some content rank VERY quickly with the right AI prompt.

If you are struggling to get your content to rank make sure Google is aware of it by logging into your Search Console account and ensuring the content has been index.
